Sometimes day-to-day life is a bit like that scene in the Wizard of Oz where Dorothy has entered the flower field. The flowers in that film are bewitched with sleep and forgetting … the flowers look good, they smell good, they are entrancing, they probably even taste good but there is something not quite right about them. Like Dorothy, before we can really think too deeply about it, we are entranced and sleeping. Sleeping our way through life unknowing and blissfully unaware anything is wrong…
Well a part of you knows its wrong. A part of you fights back. It niggles you and leaves you disquieted. Sometimes friends try to wake you. Sometimes strangers. Sometimes life. Sometimes you save yourself. Sometimes the Angels come for you, stepping in with the right words, the right feelings, and the right guidance. And in the peaceless depth of the dream you hear them and wake up.
I don’t know how it is for you…. I only know how it was for me, and for me, a part of me called out from the very depths of the dream, that the dream wasn’t right, that I wanted- needed - to go home, to be embraced by a love which sheltered me, that united me, that could hold me totally, perfectly, completely. A part of me knew the flower field wasn’t good enough, wasn’t real enough, and that I needed to go higher.
I’m not sure how it happened, only that Things Happened and that Life and all her Angels conspired to bring me to where I am now. She brought me to a place, beyond the flowers where I could rest and I could breathe and I could create dreams more completely in bliss. I now feel peace within me, still and deep, there is a softness and clarity to my life and kindness and compassion in my relationships. There is contentment.
And now I am able to share that feeling, to bring others out of the fields, to wake the sleepers and to bring them to the place I have found, filled with love and compassion, unity and understanding; to share in creating a conscious dreamtime for us all.
